Treat everyone with dignity, respectOn Friday evening, I was downtown when I witnessed an incident that left me very unsettled. An elderly homeless gentleman asked a young man for money. Instead of replying, "No, Sorry" or "Sure, here's $1," the young man began to ask the man repeatedly to "give him one good reason to give him money" in a tone of voice that was repulsive in its assumed superiority.
