Throughout the collegiate world, faculty and staff recognize federal alcohol policy as impossible to enforce. Attempts to support thecurrent policy show it to be ineffective and troublesome. ? Just across the pond, children reach for a glass of wine or a cold beer while at mealtime unlike older Americans whom are expected not to consume any alcoholic beverages until 21.

Treat everyone with dignity, respectOn Friday evening, I was downtown when I witnessed an incident that left me very unsettled. An elderly homeless gentleman asked a young man for money. Instead of replying, "No, Sorry" or "Sure, here's $1," the young man began to ask the man repeatedly to "give him one good reason to give him money" in a tone of voice that was repulsive in its assumed superiority.
